Frequently Asked Questions
Planning a wedding (or even a photo session) can feel like… a lot. Timelines, outfits, locations, and family dynamics add up fast. But it really doesn’t have to be overwhelming! Photos should be one of the fun parts (no need for the weird posing marathons or added stress). My approach is to keep things easy, flexible, and actually enjoyable so you can just be in the moment. This page answers some of the most common questions, but if you’re wondering about something else, just ask!
How many hours do I need?
Every wedding day is a little different, and the right amount of coverage really depends on how your timeline is structured.
Some couples only want a few hours for the ceremony and portraits, while others want full-day coverage from getting ready all the way through the reception. It all comes down to what moments matter most to you and how your day is planned.
If you’re not totally sure yet, I’ve created a simple timeline planner that lets you map things out and get a better idea of what makes sense before deciding:
How does the photo delivery process work?
After your session, I back up your images and begin editing by removing duplicates and polishing each photo. You’ll receive about 100 images per hour, all high-resolution, watermark-free, and yours to print and share however you’d like (from albums and cards to poster-size prints).
Turnaround is typically under a week for portraits and 2–4 weeks for weddings, with everything delivered through a password-protected online gallery. If you plan to print on your own, I’m always happy to point you toward labs that will do your photos justice.
Do you offer albums or prints?
I do! I offer professional prints, albums, and a handful of other keepsakes if you’d like something tangible. You’re also not locked into ordering through me. Your gallery includes high-resolution downloads with a full print release, so you’re free to print wherever you’d like.
If you do want albums or prints, I’m always happy to help design something or point you toward labs that will do your photos justice.
Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely! I’m always in for a destination wedding. I’m based in Ponte Vedra, FL which makes getting to places like St. Augustine, Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, and Orlando super easy. I also love any excuse to head back to Charleston, SC. I know the venues and vendors well and always enjoy photographing weddings there!
Beyond that, I’m happy to hop on a plane or hit the road for somewhere new. I also spend time in Phoenix every fall for family mini sessions. Travel fees may apply depending on location, but reach out and we’ll sort it out!
How does payment work?
Weddings require a $500 retainer to lock in your date, with the remaining balance due one week before the big day. For portrait sessions and everything else, payment is simply due at (or before) your session.
What kind of equipment do you use?
I shoot with professional Canon gear, including my main camera, the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, along with a variety of lenses for different looks and lighting situations. I always bring backup cameras, multiple memory cards, and lighting just in case (because these moments only happen once).
I also come equipped with a small (but mighty) step stool for better angles, and a little squeaky frog that has been known to win over even the grumpiest humans (and dogs).
We're awkward in photos...help!
Perfect! You’re my people. Almost everyone says this, and I promise you don’t need to “know what to do.” I’ll guide you just enough so you look your best, but nothing will feel stiff or overly posed. Most of the time, I’ll have you moving, talking, or just being together so it feels natural (and way less like a photoshoot).
Within a few minutes, you’ll forget the camera is even there, and that’s when the good stuff happens!

nothing stiff. nothing forced. just a day that feels like you.

As every engagement, wedding, and photo session is different, I strive to be flexible and accommodating in my approach - with pricing, timing, and everything else!
Each of my packages include all of your edited photos in digital, high resolution form, a print release, and an online gallery for you, your friends, and family to enjoy all the memories. Options to add-on extra sessions, prints, and albums are available as well.
